Our COMMUNITY

Forty FIVE Years of Outstanding Montessori Education

Since 1975, New World has had a worldwide reputation as Milwaukee’s premier Montessori school.  Your child will receive gentle nurturing and an unequaled Montessori education at New World.

New World Montessori was founded in 1975 by internationally known Montessori educator Hildegard Solzbacher. Ms. Solzbacher’s goals were to provide the very best care and education of young children and help parents achieve their highest goals in the education of their children. These remain our goals and focus today.

Outreach

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Students and families have the opportunity to volunteer and donate to local and global charities throughout the school year. Our projects include donating school supplies to underfunded schools, creating Valentines for Veterans, donating to the Food Drive for Hunger Task Force, and book drives for the Next Door Foundation. Many New World families participate in an annual Journey House Gift Program, where families sponsor a child and purchase gifts off of their wish list. These are just a few of the many outreach programs at New World that our students help to coordinate. As they become involved in service to others, the children develop compassion, generosity, and gratitude. They learn the joy of giving first hand at New World.

social responsibility

Whether it is reading to residents at a local senior living facility (pictured here) or learning the importance of recycling in nature program with our nature instructor, New World students of every age understand the importance of caring for our neighbors, community, environment, and world.

Now more than ever we realize that the children we are raising and educating today will inherit a world that suffers from division, intolerance, and ignorance. At New World, our mission is to educate the healers and leaders of the future and to instill in them qualities and values that will serve all humanity and preserve our global environment.

Board of Directors

Message From The New World Montessori Board of Directors:

With great honor, our Board of Directors serves New World Montessori, its staff, students, and parents. Our connective tissue is the love of our school and commitment to its long-term success. We all work to ensure that future generations of children will have the same great experience that many of our children were lucky enough to have.

We understand that part of the long-term success of our school relies on our ability to manage the “business of our school”. As such, we’ve assembled a board that has been uniquely positioned to manage the challenges we’ve faced over the last few years.

We have had no shortage of work. In less than two years we have identified, financed, purchased, and remodeled our new school building and confronted the daunting challenge of educating children during the COVID-19 crisis.

Our current board of directors has risen to the occasion and helped our school navigate these uncertain times with grace and professionalism. This work will help us sustain our school for many years to come.

Here is more about the team that supports our school.

EVENTS

Annual Party with Purpose

FUNDRAISING dinner and social EVENT

IMG_9888.jpg

All for an excellent cause

This annual fundraising event is of grand proportion with two goals in mind. Meeting and hanging out with other parents, teachers, community members and alumni. And raising funds toward a specific school goal. In previous years, funds were raised to help purchase and move to our very own school building or more recently, the fundraising dollars were in support of the purchase and install of new playground equipment and outdoor green play spaces.

This adults-only night is amazing fun filled with live music, drinks, dinner, photo booth, live auction and raffle tickets sales for lots of great items. Come party with other parents, school board, alumni, friends and the New World teachers. This event is open to the public so check back for more details on the 3rd Annual New World Party with Purpose (NWPWP).
