About New World Montessori School
Morning Primary Program
Ages: 2 ½- 6
8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
In a Montessori classroom, children experience an environment that encourages independence, discovery, respect for others, and unlimited opportunities to learn. Their lessons include practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language arts, and cultural activities. The Montessori teaching materials translate concepts into beautiful, inviting, and self-correcting activities that nourish what Maria Montessori called the “absorbent mind” of the child. The morning includes a snack and a group activity as well as ample time for individual exploration.
Ages: 2 ½- 5
11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The Bambini program offers nurturing afternoon care for children who are enrolled in the morning Montessori program. Parents can choose to send their child every day or on a drop-in basis. Children in the Bambini program eat lunch in a family-like setting and then have a rest time followed by activities. Their afternoon includes both outdoor and indoor play, arts and crafts, and other peaceful activities that interest and stimulate every child’s budding curiosity. Cost of the Bambini program is $2400 for the school year. The Bambini program is available on a drop-in basis at a cost of $25 per day.
Extended Day Primary Program
8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
At or about the age of 5, children become part of the extended day program. After completing their morning session, the extended day children enjoy a 30-minute outdoor play time and then eat lunch in the cafeteria. They may either bring a bag lunch from home or order a hot lunch. Afternoons include advanced Montessori lessons and other enriching classes such as gym, music, and Spanish.
8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The elementary program is called “Cosmic Education” because the curriculum truly encompasses the entire universe. In the elementary classroom the child builds skills and discovers new concepts while exploring areas of individual interest. This open-ended learning takes place in an environment characterized by enthusiasm, cooperation and respect. Enriching subjects such as music, gym, environmental education, Spanish, and art are included in the elementary program.
